About the role#
As a Construction College Intern, you will support project teams both on active job sites and in the office. This role provides hands-on experience in construction management, safety protocols, and field operations. You will work with technical teams to deliver professional services while gaining insight into project lifecycles and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do#
- Observe construction activities, take photographs, and document daily progress.
- Conduct basic inspections of completed work against blueprints and specifications.
- Prepare daily reports, punch lists, and project correspondence.
- Assist with project timelines, milestone tracking, and coordination logistics.
- Input field data into project management software and databases.
- Study blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to understand project scope.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project staff.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
- Identify issues and escalate to supervisors with proposed solutions.
- Participate in project meetings and team discussions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university program related to civil engineering, architecture, or construction.
- Proficiency in operating a computer, including word processing, spreadsheet, and project management software.
- Strong time management, active listening, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Must possess a cell phone and provide your own internet service.

- Location: Miami, Florida.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
- Work modality includes both on-site field work and remote office tasks.
