About the role#
Brown-Forman is hiring a Research and Development Co-Op to support product and process development. This role is open to students currently enrolled at the University of Louisville or the University of Cincinnati. You will work on-site in Louisville, Kentucky, where you will gain experience through lab, pilot plant, and production testing. This is a paid, full-time rolling position.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing and experimentation to support research and development projects.
- Execute lab and pilot plant trials while following established scientific procedures.
- Analyze technical data to help with decision making.
- Collaborate with Process Engineers on experiments and routine testing.
- Monitor and maintain lab instruments and pilot plant equipment.
- Participate in a structured education program, which includes site visits, safety team involvement, and three individualized presentation projects.
- Communicate project progress and results to supervisors and project managers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Chemical Engineering or related engineering degree program.
- Completion of at least 48 credit hours.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong computational skills in tools like Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Basic knowledge of lab equipment.
- A hands-on approach and the ability to work well in a collaborative team.
