About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within our laboratory during the harvest season. You will connect with production and winemaking teams to support our operations in Sonoma, California. This is a full-time, on-site role for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist in lab blends and conduct fining trials.
- Monitor wine health and perform regular sampling.
- Execute detailed analyses of grapes, juice, and wine.
- Measure components including Brix, Alcohol, pH, TA, yeast, bacteria, Free & Total SO2, RS, ML, VA, NH3, and NOPA.
- Sample tanks and barrels to monitor fermentation progress.
- Complete an individual internship project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor’s degree in the College of Agriculture, College of Sciences, or specific Engineering disciplines (Biomedical, Chemical, Industrial, or Environmental).
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift and move up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to climb fixed stairs with handrails and vertical ladders up to 40 feet.
- Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable vehicle.
- Ability to obtain a state driver’s license within 30 days of hire if required.
- Experience with mathematical formulas and basic computer skills.
- Strong analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
