About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience in environmental engineering and consulting. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support project planning, research, data analysis, and technical documentation. This role focuses on applying your academic knowledge to real-world challenges while gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution.
- Assist with day-to-day activities within your assigned functional area.
- Participate in meetings by taking notes, tracking action items, and supporting follow-up tasks.
- Perform technical and operational tasks to meet project needs.
- Manage and deliver your assignments on time.
- Attend required intern workshops and summer series sessions.
- Complete an intern capstone project.
- Adapt to various additional assignments as team needs evolve.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Software) or Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Data Science).
- Commitment to continue your degree program after the internship ends.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to organize information, maintain documentation, and track tasks with attention to detail.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with technical, scientific, or data analysis tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and apply academic knowledge to practical problems.
- A positive attitude, professional behavior, and an eagerness to learn.
- Interest in consulting, client engagement, and technical communication.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is on-site at our offices in Boise, Idaho, Portland, Oregon, or Seattle, Washington.
