About the role#
Therma-Stor is hiring an Accounting Intern to join the Finance and Accounting department in Madison, Wisconsin. This part-time, on-site role provides hands-on experience with daily administrative and financial tasks. You will support the team with record keeping and data management to help improve overall department efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Process accounts payable, including coding and entering invoices.
- Support account reconciliations and maintain financial records.
- Enter and validate financial data.
- Organize electronic and paper accounting documents.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
- Help prepare financial schedules and reports.
- Research and resolve basic payment or invoice discrepancies.
- Assist with vendor setup and maintenance.
- Perform administrative duties like scanning and filing.
- Support audit requests and special finance projects.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.
- A basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Previous office, bookkeeping, or accounting experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting software is helpful.

- The role is part-time and paid.
