About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within the legal department at BrightSpring Health Services. You will work on departmental procedures, software implementations, and regulatory documentation. Beyond specific legal tasks, you will participate in workshops, networking events, and leadership discussions designed to provide a broad view of healthcare operations. You will also collaborate with peers on projects and present a final project to mentors.
What you'll do#
- Create and update departmental playbooks and process maps.
- Assist with the rollout and implementation of legal software.
- Coordinate with the Provider Enrollment team to track Medicare and Medicaid revalidations.
- Support the licensing team by managing mailings and tracking pending renewals with operations.
- Connect with mentors and peers to complete a final project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor or Master degree program.
- Ability to manage tasks and time effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- A detail-oriented approach and a desire to learn about the healthcare industry.
- Ability to work well within a team.
