About the role#
Bridgewater Bank is seeking a BSA Intern for our Summer 2027 cohort. This full-time, paid internship is based on-site in St Louis Park, Minnesota. You will work directly with the Bank Secrecy Act team to gain practical experience in banking risk management.
What you'll do#
- Conduct enhanced due diligence research on high-risk clients.
- Perform suspicious transaction reviews and analysis.
- Assign risk ratings to new bank clients.
- Research laws and regulations concerning emerging financial crime risks.
- Collaborate with team members on initiatives and attend departmental meetings.
- Manage individual projects and present your findings to the intern cohort and senior leadership.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the BSA Officer.
What you'll need#
- You must be a Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor degree program.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Confidence in delivering presentations to various audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships across departments.
