About the role#
Bridges Trust offers a hands-on investment research internship. You will work directly with our Investment Team to evaluate asset classes and conduct manager due diligence. This role provides experience in portfolio management, client reporting, and strategic investment analysis. You will participate in internal meetings and contribute to our research processes throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Manage investment research projects from initial analysis to final presentation.
- Research external investment managers and evaluate various asset classes.
- Participate in due diligence meetings and prepare detailed assessments.
- Develop and present a comprehensive company research report and investment recommendation.
- Attend monthly Investment Committee and Capital Market Expectations meetings.
- Contribute to weekly discussions on capital markets, economic trends, and portfolio implications.
- Assist with client financial reports, presentations, and other investment materials.
- Support client portfolio management and additional strategic initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
- Relevant coursework in finance, accounting, investments, or securities analysis.
- Foundational knowledge of equity and fixed-income markets.
- Demonstrated interest in investing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with FactSet, Morningstar Direct, Zephyr StyleADVISOR, or Bloomberg is a plus.
- Interest in pursuing the CFA designation is preferred.
