Fall 2026 Communications, Brennan en Español Undergraduate Internship

About the role#

The Brennan Center for Justice is seeking an undergraduate intern for the Fall 2026 term to support the Brennan en Español (BEE) team. This role provides research, writing, and administrative support to staff while offering exposure to substantive meetings and events. This is a paid, part-time position based in our New York office.

What you'll do#

• Assist with general research and administrative tasks, including coordinating meetings and drafting correspondence.
• Support the BEE team with research for various projects, including the team newsletter.
• Draft social media messaging and assist with channel management.
• Contribute to social media video production, including scriptwriting, recording, and editing.
• Monitor coverage in Spanish-language and Latino press, as well as announcements from relevant organizations.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as an undergraduate student.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A demonstrated passion for justice and democracy issues.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter.

Location & details#

• Location: New York, NY (On-site).
• Term: September – December 2026.
• Commitment: Approximately 10 – 20 hours per week.
• Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
