About the role#
Braun Intertec is looking for students to join our Duluth office for a 6-month co-op. This is a full-time, paid position running from mid-May through December 2027. You will gain field experience while working alongside professional engineers and construction crews. We provide in-depth technical training and the opportunity to earn industry certifications.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing on construction materials including soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
- Conduct onsite testing for commercial and transportation projects.
- Coordinate with project managers and technicians to ensure project specifications are met.
- Participate in a 3-day technical training event covering safety, soil compaction, and materials lab procedures.
- Communicate directly with construction crews on project sites.
- Learn procedures related to ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC, and DOT standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, and working on uneven terrain.
- Experience driving large vehicles or work-related experience in fields like construction or landscaping is a plus.

- Location: Duluth, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027 and Fall 2027.
- Compensation: $20 - $24 per hour.
