About the role#
Braun Intertec Corporation is hiring a co-op student for a 6-month position in Hibbing, Minnesota. This is a full-time, paid opportunity running from mid-May to December 2027. You will gain hands-on field experience while working with professional engineers and construction crews on commercial and transportation projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing on construction materials including soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
- Conduct onsite testing at various construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and technicians to verify that project specifications are met.
- Participate in technical training events covering construction safety, soil compaction, and industry certifications.
- Learn procedures related to ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC, and DOT standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related degree program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physical tasks like climbing, balancing, or kneeling.
- Availability for a full-time, 6-month commitment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including occasional weekends and overtime.
