About the role#
Braun Intertec is offering a 6-month co-op opportunity in Minot, North Dakota. This position provides hands-on experience in civil engineering and construction materials testing. You will receive technical training and the chance to earn industry certifications. You will be paired with a professional engineer mentor to guide your work throughout the term.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing on construction materials including soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
- Conduct onsite materials testing for commercial and transportation construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and technicians to ensure project specifications are met.
- Communicate directly with construction crews in the field.
- Participate in a 3-day training event covering safety, technical procedures, and equipment operation.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains, including uneven surfaces or confined spaces.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Civil Engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
- Physical ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform tasks like climbing, balancing, or kneeling.
- Availability for a full-time, 6-month commitment.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary.

- Duration: 6 months (Summer 2027 and Fall 2027).
- Compensation: $20 - $24 per hour.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
