About the role#
Braun Intertec is offering a 6-month co-op opportunity based in St. Cloud, Minnesota. This position runs full-time from mid-May through December 2027. You will work on-site at commercial and transportation construction projects while gaining field experience and technical skills. You will be paired with a professional engineer mentor to guide your development throughout the term.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing on construction materials including soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
- Work on-site at various construction projects to ensure specifications are followed.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians.
- Participate in a 3-day training event covering safety, soil compaction, radiation safety, and testing procedures.
- Learn to apply industry standards such as ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC, and DOT.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including navigating uneven terrain, confined spaces, or trenches.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering or construction management degree program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
- Availability to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
- A focus on safety and practical problem-solving skills.

- Location: St. Cloud, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Duration: 6 months (Summer and Fall 2027).
- Compensation: $20 - $24 per hour.
- Requirements: Pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle history report.
