About the role#
Braun Intertec is hiring for a 6-month co-op position in Dallas. This is a paid, full-time opportunity for students to gain field experience in civil engineering and construction materials testing. You will work on-site at various commercial and transportation projects, learning industry procedures and standards while receiving mentorship from a professional engineer.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing on materials including soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
- Conduct onsite testing at active construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and technicians to verify that project specifications are met.
- Participate in a 3-day training event covering safety, soil classification, and certification preparation.
- Gain exposure to industry standards such as ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC, and DOT.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including navigating uneven terrain, confined spaces, or trenches.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver license and a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
- Availability to work overtime and weekends when required.
- A commitment to safety and a professional mindset.

- Location: Dallas, Texas.
- Term: 6 months, spanning Summer 2027 through Fall 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20 - $24 per hour.
