About the role#
Braun Intertec Corporation is hiring for a 6-month co-op position based in Mankato, Minnesota. This is a full-time, paid opportunity running from mid-May through December. You will gain field experience while working alongside professional engineers and construction crews.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing on construction materials including soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
- Conduct onsite materials testing for commercial and transportation projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and technicians to ensure project specifications are met.
- Participate in a 3-day training event covering safety, technical procedures, and industry certifications.
- Gain exposure to ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC, and DOT standards.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including on uneven terrain or at varying heights.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
- The physical ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform tasks like climbing, balancing, stooping, or kneeling.
- A commitment to working safely and the flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.

- Compensation: $20 - $24 per hour.
