About the role#
Braun Intertec is looking for a student to join our Lubbock office for a 6-month co-op. You will gain field experience while working with construction crews and professional engineers. This is a paid position that includes a 3-day training event covering safety, materials lab procedures, and nuclear density gauge operation. You will also have the chance to earn industry certifications.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing on construction materials including soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
- Ensure project specifications are followed on commercial and transportation sites.
- Collaborate with project managers and technicians on active job sites.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, which may include uneven terrain, confined spaces, or supported trenches.
- Work overtime and weekends as necessary.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a civil engineering, construction management, or related degree program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, and kneeling.
- Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.

- Compensation: $20 - $24 per hour.
