About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Risk Assurance internship for Summer 2027. You will work in a hybrid capacity based out of our San Jose or San Francisco offices. This role offers exposure to IT auditing theory and direct experience with client engagements.
What you'll do#
- Research accounting topics and share your initial findings with senior team members.
- Build an intermediate understanding of IT auditing theory and practice audit skepticism.
- Identify key issues and help design audit approaches.
- Perform direct auditing work on IT systems, including SOX, SOC, ISO 27001, and FedRamp engagements.
- Contribute your ideas to engagement teams and collaborate with clients to deliver quality results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, BA, MSA, MST, or Certificate program in Accounting, Accounting IS, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, Finance, or Economics.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A genuine interest in a public accounting career and completing the CISA certification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A hands-on approach and the ability to work well with others both inside and outside the firm.
- Positive energy and a strong desire to learn.
