About the role#
As a Tax Intern at BPM LLP, you will join a team of tax experts and gain exposure to diverse industries including Blockchain, Financial Services, Real Estate, and Nonprofit. You will work with a personal Coach and Buddy to support your professional development in public accounting.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and work papers by applying critical analysis to data.
- Research and evaluate complex tax issues to provide insights to seniors and managers.
- Maintain updated knowledge of tax laws, IRS guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in training programs and work toward the CPA designation.
- Engage in regional intern events, executive speaker sessions, and collaborative intern projects.
- Support sustainable workplace practices, including paperless workflows and digital collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Demonstrated interest in obtaining CPA licensure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to start on January 7, 2027.
Location & details#
- Location: California (offices in Irvine, Long Beach, San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Monica, Santa Rosa, or Walnut Creek).
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Schedule: 20 hours per week in January; at least 30 hours per week from February through April.
- Employment type: Paid, part-time internship.
