About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will join a team of audit experts to explore various industries, including Blockchain, Financial Services, Real Estate, and Nonprofit. You will work with a personal Coach and Buddy to support your growth in public accounting. This internship provides exposure to over 10 industry groups.
What you'll do#
- Analyze financial statements and related disclosures to identify material misstatements or discrepancies.
- Perform audit procedures to assess the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Examine financial records, transactions, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Assist in evaluating and testing internal control systems.
- Deliver quality work within client time-frames.
- Participate in regional intern events and executive speaker sessions.
- Collaborate on a project to showcase your acquired knowledge.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, BA, MSA, MST, or Certificate program in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Graduation date between September 2027 and December 2029.
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing or obtaining a CPA license.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- A proactive, authentic, driven, and resilient approach.
- Ability to start in January.
