About the role#
As a Software Development Engineer Intern, you will join the Electrophysiology group in Waltham, MA. You will contribute to the development of the Opal Mapping system, which creates real-time virtual models of the human heart to assist physicians. You will work within an Agile team, collaborating with developers and the test team to build user interfaces, algorithms, and back-end data components on a Linux operating system.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and unit test software applications using C++, Python, or MATLAB.
- Participate in scrum team activities to coordinate feature development and resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team across all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
- Proficiency in coding with C++, Python, or MATLAB.
- Ability to commit to one of the following program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th.
- Reliable transportation to the Waltham, MA location.
