As an Electronic Engineering Intern, you will join a cross-functional team to support the design, testing, and improvement of electronic sub-systems for medical devices and support equipment. This six-month internship provides hands-on experience in a professional engineering organization, focusing on disciplined development practices, laboratory work, and technical documentation. You will receive mentorship and regular coaching to support your professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Build, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and assemblies, including evaluation boards, prototypes, and test fixtures, while documenting results.
- Support bench testing and verification activities by executing test plans, collecting and analyzing data, and assisting with root-cause investigations.
- Assist with design updates and continuous improvement efforts for existing electronic designs and test setups.
- Collaborate with R&D and adjacent engineering teams to meet project milestones.
- Create and maintain clear engineering documentation, such as test reports, lab notebooks, and build notes, to ensure traceability.
- Participate in structured internship activities, including onboarding, regular mentor meetings, and end-of-internship presentations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering program (Master’s degree pursuit is considered an asset).
- Fundamental knowledge of electronics, including circuit analysis and analog/digital concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured environment, follow procedures, and communicate progress clearly.
- Comfort working in a hands-on laboratory or bench environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Proficiency in French is considered an asset.
- Experience with firmware, FPGA, embedded systems, instrumentation, or PCB design is a plus.

- Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (primarily onsite with occasional remote work).
- Duration: 6-month internship.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
