Software Development Engineer Co-op

About the role#

As a Software Development Engineer Co-op, you will join the Electrophysiology group in Waltham, Massachusetts. This team develops the Opal Mapping System, which uses advanced algorithms and high-performance rendering to create real-time anatomical models of the human heart. You will work within an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional partners to contribute to software development and testing across all phases of the lifecycle.

What you'll do#

• Design, develop, and unit test software applications using C++ in a Linux environment.
• Contribute to user interface, algorithm development, and back-end data handling components.
• Participate in Agile scrum teams to coordinate feature development and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with software development and testing teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Apply problem-solving skills to deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Expected graduation date between Spring 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Proficiency in C++, C, or Rust.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
