About the role#
The R&D Systems Engineering Intern works with the R&D Engineering team to design medical devices. This 6-month internship focuses on testing, documentation, and the development of new concepts from initial design through to market release. You will collaborate with team members to solve complex problems and support project coordination.
What you'll do#
- Research, develop, and evaluate electrical and electro-mechanical components, assemblies, and equipment.
- Conduct feasibility studies to verify system capabilities and functionality.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation throughout all phases of research and development.
- Apply Agile and Lean principles to improve processes and eliminate waste.
- Contribute to software and system risk assessments, including the use of Design FMEA activities.
- Coordinate project activities and provide direction to support personnel.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in product development within a regulated industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: Experience with power circuit design, power semiconductors, magnetic components, analog circuit design, or low-speed digital circuit design.
- Preferred: Working proficiency in French.
