About the role#
This R&D Engineering Intern position supports the Interventional Cardiology division at Boston Scientific. You will work on projects ranging from exploratory research to new product development, focusing on next-generation single-use and capital equipment medical devices. This role requires working independently to plan activities and meeting project timelines while collaborating with the broader engineering team.
What you'll do#
- Design, fabricate, and prototype new device concepts based on clinical feedback.
- Develop innovative test methods for in vitro device evaluation.
- Assist product development teams with device design and testing.
- Troubleshoot design, material, or process-related issues on new products.
- Research and analyze clinical and market data to identify new opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Prior Boston Scientific R&D Engineering Co-op experience.
- Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, on-site.
- Reliable transportation to the Maple Grove, MN facility.
