About the role#
This R&D Engineering Associate position focuses on the ideation, design, prototyping, and manufacturing transfer of medical devices. You will work within the Research & Development department to support the development of cutting-edge technology used in medical procedures, contributing to regulatory approvals, patent processes, and clinical research studies.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development of devices through prototyping, testing, and 3D modeling.
- Create and conduct verification and validation testing to confirm design requirements and concepts.
- Prepare regulatory filings for government bodies in collaboration with IP and Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Support clinical trials and coordinate with external suppliers and clinicians.
- Develop technical documentation, including drawings, work instructions, and technical presentations.
- Monitor safety practices and ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA standards.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an Engineering degree or recent graduation with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Computer Engineering.
- Previous internship, co-op, or project experience involving product design, testing, or development.
- Experience working in laboratory or engineering test environments, including the use of standard measurement tools and instruments.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare technical documentation such as reports, drawings, or work instructions.

- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (requires presence in the local office at least three days per week).
