As an Electronic Engineering Intern, you will join a cross-functional team to support the design, testing, and improvement of electronic sub-systems for medical devices and equipment. This internship is hands-on and learning-focused, providing you with project ownership, mentorship, and exposure to disciplined engineering best practices. You will gain experience in laboratory work, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration while working to meet performance and compliance expectations.
What you'll do#
- Build, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and assemblies, such as evaluation boards, prototypes, and test fixtures, while documenting results and key learnings.
- Support bench testing and verification activities by executing test plans, collecting and analyzing data, summarizing findings, and assisting with root-cause investigations.
- Assist with design updates and continuous improvement efforts for existing electronic designs or test setups, including evaluating design alternatives.
- Collaborate with engineering partners in R&D and adjacent functions to deliver project milestones.
- Create and maintain clear engineering documentation, including test reports, lab notebooks, and procedures, to support traceability and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in structured internship activities, including onboarding, regular one-on-one meetings with a mentor, and end-of-internship presentations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related academic program.
- Fundamental knowledge of electronics, including circuit analysis and analog/digital concepts.
- Comfort working in a hands-on laboratory or bench environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured environment by following procedures and documenting work clearly.
- Preferred: Active pursuit of a Master’s degree, familiarity with firmware or FPGA concepts, experience with embedded systems or PCB design, and working proficiency in French.

- Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2026 (6-month duration).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (primarily onsite with occasional remote work).
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
