About the role#
Boston.com is seeking a student for a full-time audience engagement co-op. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in a digital newsroom that publishes local, mobile-focused content. The position runs from July to December 2025 and is based in the Boston office.
What you'll do#
- Pitch and execute multimedia projects, focusing on visual, short-form content.
- Balance tight turnaround deadlines with advance-notice projects across news, sports, lifestyle, and local events.
- Collaborate with the team on multimedia projects.
- Share content across social media channels while engaging with daily conversations using relevant copy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student in journalism, communications, media studies, or a related field.
- Junior or senior status is encouraged.
- Previous experience at a media outlet is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X.
- Enthusiasm for digital journalism and a willingness to learn.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid position located in downtown Boston, Massachusetts.
- The hourly rate for this role is $15 per hour.
- This is a union position covered by a collective bargaining agreement with the Boston Newspaper Guild.
