About the role#
Boston.com is seeking a student for a full-time audience engagement co-op. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in a digital newsroom, working on content that serves local readers. The position is a paid, union-covered role based in Boston.
What you'll do#
- Pitch and execute multimedia projects, with an emphasis on visual, short-form content.
- Balance tight turnaround deadlines with advance-notice projects across news, sports, and lifestyle categories.
- Collaborate with the team on multimedia initiatives.
- Manage content distribution across social media channels, including writing copy that engages with daily conversations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college journalism, communications, or media studies program, with junior or senior status encouraged.
- Previous experience at a media outlet is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X.
- An enthusiasm for digital journalism and a willingness to learn.

- This is an on-site position based in downtown Boston, Massachusetts.
- The role is full-time for the Summer 2026 term.
- Compensation is $15 per hour.
