About the role#
The EHS Intern program at BorgWarner provides a hands-on opportunity to learn the environmental, health, and safety profession at an entry level. You will gain experience from the perspective of a Tier-One automotive supplier. This position is available for the spring and fall semesters, as well as the summer months between them.
What you'll do#
- Integrate environmental, safety, and health requirements into planning, permitting, design, and construction execution documents for projects.
- Interpret company, local, and national regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and apply scientific principles to formulate project scopes and plans.
- Provide specialized environment, safety, and health information for engineering and construction projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year bachelor degree program (or 2 plus 2) in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health & Science, Fire Protection & Safety Technology, Health & Safety Management, or a related field.
- Completion of at least one year of undergraduate studies in one of the listed fields.
- Eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read and write English.
