About the role#
This internship focuses on the Global 5500/6500 aircraft program. You will support the Project Engineering team by planning, tracking, and executing key project milestones. This is a full-time, 8-month opportunity designed for students currently enrolled in a degree program.
What you'll do#
- Build project schedules and support implementation plans.
- Monitor project progress to ensure timelines are met.
- Assist the Project Engineer with performance tracking and reporting.
- Prepare business cases and manage budgets.
- Maintain project documentation, timelines, and databases.
- Identify risks and develop solutions to address them.
- Join product development meetings to observe how priorities are set.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners.
- Support team goals and learn to manage KPIs.
- Practice your communication skills through formal reports and presentations.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to clearly explain ideas in both written and verbal formats.
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Fluency in English, with French language skills considered an asset.
- Prior experience in project management, budgeting, scheduling, aerospace, or manufacturing is a bonus.
- Availability for a minimum 8-month commitment.
Location & details#
- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement to work from the office 2 days per week.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Compensation: CAD $17.95 to CAD $31.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.
- Travel: You may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training or work purposes.
