About the role#
As an intern in the Materials and Processes Engineering Laboratory, you will support our aircraft platforms through development, manufacturing, and in-service stages. You will work on-site at our Marcel-Laurin facility in St-Laurent, Quebec, for a 12-month term starting in Winter 2027. This is a full-time, paid position for current students.
What you'll do#
- Prepare test specimens for mechanical, physical, metallurgical, and chemical evaluations.
- Conduct quality control tests on raw materials and manufacturing processes.
- Support research and development, non-conformity assessments, and special engineering investigations.
- Interpret test results and document findings in technical reports.
- Contribute to team initiatives, including continuous improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college program for Materials, Chemical, Composites, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Practical experience working in a laboratory setting.
- Hands-on approach to problem-solving and a curious, results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
- Experience with composite materials, mechanical testing, analytical chemistry, or metallurgical testing.
- Familiarity with international standards like ASTM, ISO, AMS, and SACMA.
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards, such as MIL specs and Nadcap, is an asset.

- Work Modality: Hybrid and on-site.
- Schedule: Day shift with flexible hours.
- Note: This role is open to students only. Occasional travel outside of Canada may be required for training or work purposes.
