About the role#
As an Avionics Engineering Intern, you will join the Engineering and Program Management organization. You will support the development and certification of new aircraft programs, working directly within a flight test environment to ensure systems meet design and regulatory standards.
What you'll do#
- Review certification plans and write development and certification test procedures.
- Plot and analyze data from ground and flight tests.
- Create flight test reports to demonstrate system operation per TC, FAA, and EASA regulations.
- Assist technicians with troubleshooting aircraft avionics system issues.
- Develop engineering documentation for design changes.
- Provide system performance analysis to verify operation against design specifications.
- Conduct tests using ground test rigs.
- Support governance reviews, generate metrics, and contribute to data analytics and AI initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Working knowledge of basic avionics system principles.
- Awareness of FAA and EASA Part 25 certification requirements.
- Familiarity with RTCA documents DO-178 and DO-160.
- Ability to interpret software documentation and logic diagrams.
- Experience using ARINC data to isolate software control faults.
- Strong English communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with PCs.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
- Previous experience supporting aircraft ground, flight, or functional testing is preferred.

- Status: Full-time, on-site, paid internship.
