About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will gain practical experience by supporting transportation projects and working on construction phase activities for our municipal clients.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering planning and design tasks.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
- Complete design calculations and review shop drawings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program or a closely related field.
- Sophomore status or higher.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation.

- Locations: Raleigh, North Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Note: Relocation and housing are not included. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
