Survey Field Intern

About the role#

The Survey Field Intern position offers the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects. Working alongside an experienced crew chief, you will spend the majority of your time in the field gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment.

What you'll do#

• Assist with boundary surveys, construction staking, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, and GPS data collection.
• Gain practical experience with Trimble, Robotic Total Station, and GPS equipment.
• Interact and coordinate with staff, landowners, contractors, and subcontractors.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a Civil Engineering Technician, Land Surveying, Survey Technician, or related degree program from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, with a 3.2 GPA preferred.
• Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain.
• A valid driver's license and insurability under the firm's standard rates.
• Preferred: General coursework in surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Term: Summer 2026.
• Modality: On-site, full-time.
• Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and credentials.
• Note: Relocation and housing are not provided.
