This is a full-time, paid internship with the Municipal team for Summer 2026. You will gain practical, on-the-job experience by supporting civil engineering projects, with a primary focus on construction phase activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering projects, including planning and design tasks.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation, construction staking, and construction administration duties.
- Complete design calculations, write specifications, and review shop drawings as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or closely related degree program at an accredited institution.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8; 3.2 or above is preferred.
- Standing as a Sophomore or higher, with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (personal or public).
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.

- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience and credentials. Overtime compensation is available. Includes paid time off (PTO).
