About the role#
Bolton & Menk is seeking a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Intern for the Summer 2026 season. This position offers practical experience supporting municipal infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on field data collection.
What you'll do#
- Assist with data collection as directed.
- Support database development projects.
- Assist with map development tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Associates or Bachelor’s degree program in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Data Science, or an equivalent field at an accredited college.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, with a 3.2 or above preferred.
- Current status of Sophomore or above with completed coursework in general GIS and data collection equipment, such as ArcGIS and Trimble GPS.
- Physical ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation duties.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from project sites.
