    About the role#

    Bolton & Menk is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Transportation service group during the Summer 2026 season. This full-time, paid internship provides hands-on experience with community infrastructure projects, including roadway and intersection design layouts, traffic counting, and plan production for highway improvement projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with civil engineering projects involving planning and design tasks.
    • Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
    • Perform construction observation, construction staking, and construction administration duties.
    • Complete design calculations, write specifications, and review shop drawings.
    • Conduct site visits for project assessments and calculations.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or closely related degree program at an accredited institution.
    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, with a 3.2 or above preferred.
    • Current status of Sophomore or above, with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
    • Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
