Landscape Architecture Intern

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026 based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. You will gain practical experience in landscape architecture, land planning, and urban design by working on a variety of projects, including parks, streetscapes, riverfront designs, and long-range system plans.

What you'll do#

• Assist with graphic renderings and 3D visualization.
• Help prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Prepare deliverables for multiple landscape architecture projects.
• Travel to work sites and other project-related locations as necessary.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Landscape Architecture at an accredited institution.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, with a 3.2 or above preferred.
• Developing knowledge of technical software, including Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Arc GIS, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to apply landscape architecture concepts to site design problem-solving.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
• A valid driver’s license and your own transportation for business-related travel.
• A portfolio containing at least three work samples in PDF format.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

• Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota (On-site).
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and credentials.
• Benefits: Paid time off and overtime compensation eligibility.
