Landscape Architect Intern -Summer 2026

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026 based in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Landscape Architect Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, and urban design. You will work on projects that balance design and technical requirements to serve communities across the region.

What you'll do#

• Assist with graphic renderings and 3D visualization.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support the planning, organization, and performance of multiple landscape architecture projects.
• Travel to work sites and other project-related locations as necessary.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Landscape Architecture at an accredited institution.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, with a preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Developing knowledge of technical software including Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Arc GIS, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to apply landscape architecture concepts to solve site design issues.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license and personal transportation (business-related travel is reimbursed).
• Submission of at least three work samples in PDF format along with your resume.
