This internship provides practical, on-the-job experience within the Water/Wastewater service group for the Summer 2026 season. The role focuses primarily on construction phase activities for municipal infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering projects, including planning and design tasks.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation, construction staking, and construction administration duties.
- Complete design calculations and review shop drawings as project needs require.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or closely related degree program at an accredited institution.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, with 3.2 or above preferred.
- Junior status or higher, with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
