Bolton & Menk is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 season within the Water Resources service group in Mankato, Minnesota. This position focuses on construction phase activities for water resources projects, including stream and wetland restorations, stormwater design, watershed management, and flood studies.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering projects, including planning and design tasks.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation, construction staking, and construction administration duties.
- Complete design calculations, write specifications, and review shop drawings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or closely related degree program at an accredited institution.
- Sophomore status or above is desired, with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, with 3.2 or above preferred.
- Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

- Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and credentials.
