About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for the 2026 season based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Interns will join the civil/municipal team to gain practical, on-the-job experience. The role focuses primarily on construction phase activities, providing support to municipalities and communities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering projects, including planning and design tasks.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation, construction staking, and construction administration duties.
- Complete design calculations, write specifications, and review shop drawings as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or closely related degree program at an accredited institution.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, with a preferred GPA of 3.2 or above.
- Sophomore status or higher, with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
