About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for the Summer 2027 season. You will join our Municipal teams in Northeast Minnesota to gain practical, on-the-job experience. You will spend most of your time working on construction phase activities for community infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering projects, including planning and design tasks.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation, administration, and staking duties.
- Complete design calculations and review shop drawings as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or closely related degree program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 (3.2 or above is preferred).
- Sophomore standing or above.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Current authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Locations: Duluth, Grand Rapids, and Hibbing, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and credentials.
