About the role#
This Civil Engineering Intern position is part of our Municipal service group for the Summer 2027 season. You will work alongside engineers, project managers, and construction professionals to support municipal infrastructure projects. The role involves a mix of office tasks and field work, with a focus on construction phase activities for transportation projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering projects, including planning and design tasks.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation, construction staking, and construction administration duties.
- Complete design calculations and review shop drawings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or closely related degree program at an accredited institution.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, with a 3.2 or above preferred.
- Sophomore status or higher is preferred.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain.
- A valid driver’s license and your own transportation or access to public transportation.
- Current authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
