About the role#
This Manufacturing Engineer Student Experience offers the chance to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world projects. You will work directly with professionals at Bobcat Company to gain hands-on experience in machinery manufacturing. This is a full-time position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing layouts for capital projects.
- Create programs for lasers, plasmas, brakes, and turret machines.
- Help develop and implement Lean/DFT initiatives and automation programs.
- Support efforts to improve factory safety, quality, reliability, and productivity.
- Work on the continual improvement of paint quality and the reduction of defects.
What you'll need#
- Current standing as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
