About the role#
This is a paid, full-time student experience for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site at our Bismarck or Fargo locations. This role is designed to help you apply your classroom knowledge to real-world engineering projects while working alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Write embedded software, scripts, and internal utilities using C/C++, C#, Python, Qt, or Matlab/Simulink.
- Design and run unit, hardware, and on-machine tests.
- Review code and manage software requirements.
- Use project tracking systems to stay organized.
- Build electrical harnesses and operate equipment.
- Log and analyze test data to ensure quality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity Engineering.
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
- Ability to work full-time for the 4-month term.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work well both independently and as a team member.
