About the role#
This is a full-time, 12-week internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site at our Columbia office, gaining hands-on experience within the insurance industry. The role focuses on professional development, allowing you to learn business operations while working alongside your assigned team.
What you'll do#
- Maintain department documents, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Research and assist with projects using internal systems.
- Participate in training to build skills relevant to your field of study.
- Communicate with various areas of the company to complete tasks.
- Create and present reports on area statistics or project knowledge.
- Assist staff with daily operations to gain a view of the business.
- Join volunteering events, networking sessions, and internal discussions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, Business Analytics, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Completed at least two years of academic study with a minimum of 12 semester hours in your field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information.
- Analytical or critical thinking skills and the ability to follow directions.
- Interest in brand marketing, digital marketing, communications, or market research.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, or Power BI is a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Location & details#
- Location: Columbia, South Carolina.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Dates: May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
- Modality: On-site, 5 days per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
