About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Information Technology division at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. You will work on projects related to cybersecurity, data analytics, application development, and network infrastructure. The program helps you build professional skills while gaining insight into the health insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing research materials to identify business problems and suggest solutions.
- Support leaders on projects aimed at improving organizational efficiency.
- Analyze business goals, objectives, and needs.
- Participate in department meetings and team building events.
- Attend networking events with company leaders and other interns.
- Engage in community outreach activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Detroit, Michigan.
- The term takes place during Summer 2027.
