About the role#
The Learning and Development Intern supports our team of instructional designers and professionals. You will gain hands-on experience in the creation, delivery, and management of educational materials while learning about the health insurance industry. This program focuses on building practical skills through meaningful projects and networking with employees across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with instructional designers to create training programs, job aids, and multimedia content.
- Support the use of instructional design best practices.
- Manage project timelines, track deliverables, and maintain documentation.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and feedback reviews.
- Research emerging learning technologies to recommend solutions for course delivery.
- Ensure learning materials meet quality and accessibility standards.
- Prepare research materials to identify business problems and assist leaders with project implementation.
- Analyze business goals and objectives to support organizational efficiency.
- Engage in networking events, volunteer activities, and community outreach.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD program.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Pursuing a degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to maintaining confidential information.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), online course platforms, and basic data analysis tools.
