About the role#
The Continuous Improvement Intern supports operational excellence and efficiency at Blount Fine Foods. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and implement process improvements across the company. This internship provides experiential learning, connecting classroom concepts to real-world manufacturing applications.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the CI Engineer on planning, coordination, and analysis of projects.
- Perform net weight and downtime analysis.
- Gather data on production processes to create proposals for improvement.
- Support initiatives to reduce waste and improve process reliability.
- Assist with process experimentation, design, optimization, and documentation.
- Help improve safety, reduce cycle times, and increase productivity.
- Work toward better customer satisfaction through improved yields, quality, and on-time delivery.
What you'll need#
- Current candidate for a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to perform math including ratios, percentages, and fractions.
- Skill in drawing and interpreting bar graphs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.

- This is a full-time, on-site role based in Fall River, Massachusetts.
- The position is paid.
- This is a rolling internship.
