About the role#
As a Continuous Improvement Intern, you will support operational efficiency at our Fall River facility. You will work with the CI Engineer to plan and analyze projects, focusing on reducing waste and improving production processes. This internship provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, connecting academic concepts to real-world production tasks.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the CI Engineer on project planning, coordination, and analysis.
- Perform net weight and downtime analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Collect and provide data on production processes to support decision-making.
- Assist with process experimentation, design, optimization, and documentation.
- Support manufacturing initiatives aimed at improving safety and reducing cycle times.
- Work to increase productivity, process reliability, and production capacity.
- Focus on improving customer satisfaction through better yields, quality, and on-time delivery.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to perform basic math, including rates, ratios, percentages, and graphing.
- Capability to follow detailed instructions and solve problems with concrete variables.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience are welcome.
